The Design Process
DiscoveryEvery successful design project starts off with a thorough discovery process. This begins with you completing the New Project Survey where you provide the necessary background information for us to begin our collaboration.
Once we have this information we can provide a comprehensive consultation to discuss things like goals for the website, desired features and what solution best suits those criteria.
SitemapOnce we have all the necessary information, we’ll build a visual sitemap to represent the overall layout of the site. This includes all pages and major sections and features of the site. The aim of this is to be very clear on how the site will flow and all the pieces fit together.
Once the sitemap is agreed up a prototype can be built. It will be intentionally bare-bones with very little styling and is meant to represent how the pieces of the site detailed in the sitemap function together as a working website.
Major features like pages, sections, navigation, social media integration, forms and so on will be included so that the concepts can be tested and tweaked as necessary.
Once we have a solid working prototype we move into adding the design elements like logos, images, colors, fonts and layouts. This is where things really take shape, coming together to create the beautiful website we envisioned.
Finally, we are ready for the last steps before revealing your new site to the world. This is when we make any last-minute tweaks and perform extensive testing to make sure your site is 100% ready when launched.
